Hallo,

Ich habe offensichtlich den Kernel 2.6.18-5-amd64 installiert und würde gerne auf die neueste Version upgraden. Offengesagt habe Ich das noch nicht gemacht und würde gerne nach einer kleinen Anleitung fragen.

Der Kernel 2.6.18-5-amd64 ist Exploitgefährdet und mein System Stürzt zur Zeit regelmässig ab.

Das mit dem Netzwerktreiber habe Ich bereits gelesen (http://forum.euserv.de/index.php?topic=1816.0). Dort wird ebenfalls empfohlen einen neuen Kernel zu bauen.

Über etwas Hilfe wäre Ich dankar

Hallo,

Ich habe nach dieser Anleitung http://www.howtoforge.de/howto/wie-man-einen-kernel-kompiliert-debian-etch/2/ ein Upgrade auf 2.6.26 gewagt.

Nun fährt der Server nicht mehr hoch.

Ich habe in dieser Anleitung die Versionsangaben von 2.6.21.3 auf 2.6.26 geändert. Schien zu gehen.

Nach reboot war Ebbe. Weiss jemand ob man was in der /boot/grub/menu.list ändern miuss damit er hochfährt?


Müsste schnell gehen *grummel*

Poste doch mal deine grub config.
Ansonsten kannst du bei Etch auch den 2.6.24 als fertiges Kernel Image installieren, falls das aktuell genug ist. ;-)

Ich habe unten was geändert, was nichts brachte,  Statt ...root= /dev/md1 stand sda2 da

Hab deine Antwort irgendwie ganz übersehen.

Falls du noch mal zurückwechseln willst zu Debian probier mal den linux-image-2.6.24-etchnhalf.1-amd64 kernel aus, vielleicht kommt der mit dem Raid zurecht

Und /dev/md1 ist schon richtig wenn du ein Raid hast.
