Moinsen...
xinetd kontrolliert OK
proftpd.conf OK
dienst offline...
in der Konsole wird folgender fehler ausgegeben...
# ftp localhost
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to localhost.
421 Service not available, remote server has closed connection.

Stoppe xinetd:
/etc/init.d/xinetd stop
Lösche sicherheitshalber PID-File:
rm /var/run/xinetd.init.pid
Starte xinetd:
/etc/init.d/xinetd start
Poste Meldungen.
-
rm: cannot remove /var/run/xinetd.init.pid No such file or directory
-
Habe nun folgendes rausgefunden...
./proftpd
- warning: unable to determine IP address of 'ts-public'
- error: no valid servers configured
- Fatal: error processing configuration file '/etc/proftpd.conf'
-
- warning: unable to determine IP address of 'ts-public'
[...]
-

Aussage vom Paralles Support:
Danke Parallels :(
Nachtrag... hier der Auszug aus der "hosts"
#
# /etc/host.conf - resolver configuration file
#
# Please read the manual page host.conf(5) for more information.
#
#
# The following option is only used by binaries linked against
# libc4 or libc5. This line should be in sync with the "hosts"
# option in /etc/nsswitch.conf.
#
order hosts, bind
#
# The following options are used by the resolver library:
#
multi on
-
-
das wäre die "hosts" Datei...
#
# hosts This file describes a number of hostname-to-address
# mappings for the TCP/IP subsystem. It is mostly
# used at boot time, when no name servers are running.
# On small systems, this file can be used instead of a

# Syntax:

# IP-Address Full-Qualified-Hostname Short-Hostname
#
127.0.0.1 localhost
# special IPv6 addresses

jedoch steht in der proftpd.conf drin...
<Directory /srv/www/vhosts>
GroupOwner psacln
</Directory>
die Verwaltung geht also über Plesk
-
127.0.0.1 localhost
einfügst
127.0.0.1 ts-public

91-143-83-145:/usr/sbin # ./in.proftpd
ts-public.de - fatal: Socket operation on non-socket
das ist ein Auszug der Webseite proftpd
"5. "Fatal: Socket operation on non-socket"
You have ProFTPD configured to run in inetd mode rather than standalone. In this mode, ProFTPD expects that it will be run from the inetd super-server, which implies that stdin/stdout will be sockets instead of terminals. As a result, socket operations will fail and the above error will be printed. If you wish to run ProFTPD from the shell, in standalone mode, you'll need to modify your proftpd.conf configuration file and add or edit the ServerType directive to read:
ServerType standalone"

Danke erstmal an alle Helfer!
Fehlerursache unbekannt.
